My Favorite Travel Apps
Updated: May 13, 2020
If you are tech savvy, you can appreciate this list:
1. Been: If you want a way to track where you've been around the globe and different US states. This app helps me visualize where I've been and where I want to go. It even lists it as a percentage. You can find it on the App Store and in Google Play.
2. MyTSA App: This app has many features but my favorite is that it allows me to quickly search which items I can bring with me in a carry-on or checked bag. It also allows you to see which airports support TSA Pre✓® and how busy the airport is likely to be based on historical data. You can find it on the App Store and in Google Play.
3.PackPoint: This app is a new favorite as it allows you to get an easy to follow packing list. These lists are generated after you enter your destination, date of travel, length of stay, type of trip, activities you would likely engage in and whether or not you will likely do laundry or repeat basics. After which a packing list is generated and you can even customize this template. You can find it on the App Store and in Google Play.
4. Mobile Passport: For U.S. passport holders and Canadian visitors, you can use this to save time during the entry process at 30+ major U.S. airports and cruise ports. This allows you to fill out the customs declarations forms and submit your passport ahead of time! You can find it on the App Store and in Google Play.
7.Guides by Lonely Planet: This app is loaded with goodies such as offline maps, must-see sights, neighborhood guides, audio phrasebooks and immersive experiences. You can find it on the App Store and in Google Play.
8. Whatsapp: This allows you to connect with anyone with the app for free. You can video chat, message or even do phone calls once you have a wifi connection. You can find it on the App Store and in Google Play.
