My Travel Guide: First Aid Kit

I think it's very important to always be prepared. That's why I always walk with my own first aid kit. Here are the items I typically pack and links for those who like examples. Feel free to make it your own!

Staple Items:

  1. Prescription Medication

  2. Pain and fever medicine (acetaminophen or ibuprofen)

  3. Antihistamine/Allergy Medicine

  4. Anti-Diarrheal Pills  (Imodium or Pepto-Bismol)

  5. Motion sickness medicine (Dramamine)

  6. Pre-Cold Medicine (Zicam®)

  7. Immune Support Supplements (Airborne®/Emergen-C®)

  8. Antibiotic Ointment (Neosporin)

  9. Anti-Itch Cream (Hydrocortisone)

  10. Insect repellent (with an active ingredient like DEET)

  11. Sunscreen (with UVA and UVB protection)

  12. Health insurance card and documents


Optional Add ons:

  1. Aloe Vera Gel

  2. Cotton swabs (Q-Tips)

  3. Antiseptic wound cleaner

  4. Hand sanitizer or antibacterial hand wipes

  5. Condoms

  6. Contact lenses and solution

  7. Vicks® VapoRub™ Topical Cough Suppressant

  8. Wet wipes

  9. Cough Drops/Cough suppressant

  10. Bandages/Band-Aids 

  11. Swimmer's Ears Aid

  12. Antacid
